our latest project

  • 0

Time is very precious to us..it is crucially important for us to find ways to make the most of the time together for bonding, learning purposes and enjoyment.

Our latest project was to encourage creativity and thinking outside the box. I personally feel that i need to nurture thinking skills in my kids. Thinking is the best weapon in life especially when combined with Iman. Thinking also vital to make us close to Allah and be grateful.

I want my kids to walk in this life as a stranger who sees the world with fresh eye, seeing failure as a way to bounce higher, seeing problems as opportunities, solving the problems rather than avoiding them. Problems are our chance to leap beyond our capabilities. All with Allah's blessings.

This time we do it outdoors to allow more rooms to move, no worries for any spill, appreciating fresh air and morning sun. *sun stimulate the 'happy hormones'..;)

lets photos tell the stories: (photo not in sequence)
the final product! Umar did it himself!
the team working together

Umar decorating his masterpiece..
Painting with his own color preference with combination of few colors..
Transforming our old 'spoon case' ..
the things we need, cost less than RM10..

May try this at your home. If u wish to try this idea, please link us to your entry will ya?!

thanks!*hugs*

super mom

Every Super-mom knows that she never walks up the stairs empty handed.

I like this statement lots..It is really true. It can be just literal meaning that a mother would not climbing up stairs without her kids or toys on her hands or another meaning is a successful mother would not achieve success alone, she would carry along her children.

Like now, I am not alone when typing this but with kids around me (the baby trying hard to press the button) and toys everywhere on the floor. But I do not consider myself as super-mom.

I am use to it and instead I am happy this way rather than my kids in their playroom or downstairs while I am here attending my own interest.

This reminds me to a friend during my university years “hey, go and find new interest la weih, rather than go back and ‘stuck’ with your kids..Come and watch some movie or have some funs with us..”

I just smiling and at that moment I realized that those entertainments mentioned to me has no more fun in them as compared to be with my kids either at home or anywhere else with them tagging around my waist or pulling my cloth or ‘tudung’. Seriously, for me the kids give me lots of fun rather than staying away from them

Then someone else asked me another questions “how do you keep yourself sane?”

First of all what make you insane? The kids? It is not for me..instead the kids make me realized my actual purpose of life and they actually offer me the easiest way to find Allah's blessings..:)

My immediate answer to the question on how do I keep myself sane is have my own ‘me time’ early in the morning when everyone else is still sleeping, pray and ‘talk’ to Allah all my hopes, my plan, my problem or just anything…then if I still have more time I will read the Quran and my other books to carry my imagination to the world I want it to be..

Pasti ada yang merindui saya (huhu perasan..)

Saya dan anak2 alhamdulillah sihat dan sangat2 bersyukur pd Allah atas
nikmat yg Dia kurniakan buat kami..

Saya terus-terusan enjoy the challenges as a working mother! (saya
gemar perkara mencabar yang kadangkala jika tak dilakukan saya xkan
tahu setakat mana potensi diri saya).

Seperti tekad saya dahulu, saya masih menyusukan pengarang jantung
saya si comel thariq.Dulu saya ragui 'kesempatan' seorang houseman
untuk menyusukan anaknya..sebenarnya boleh..hendak seribu daya dan
paling utama mohon bantuan dari Allah!

my companion to work;) itu hasil utk sekali pump..alhamdulillah

buah hati saya umar kini makin matang, pandai berdikari dan sangat
ke'abang'an.

lagi..namun kesuntukan masa saya menghalang.. Saya ambil ini sebagai
cabaran! Saya akan cuba!)

Anda yg membaca bagai mana? Ceritalah sedikit tentang perkembangan
anda dan simanja anda..

For the rest of my life..

Excuse me for being a little 'jiwang' here..just to appreciate the "nikmat perkahwinan yang Allah kurniakan"...

At this moment of waiting our second miracles to be born..I feel touch with this song from dearest mr husband..He is the kind whom always keep his feeling to himself..so when he dedicated this song it really touches me..

Thanks hubby for the song...

For The Rest Of my Life
I praise Allah for sending me you my love
You found your home and sail with me
And I`m here with you
Now let me let you know
You`ve opened my heart
I was always thinking that love was wrong
But everything was changed when you came along
OOOOO
And there is a couple words I want to say
Chorus:
For the rest of my life
I`ll be with you
I`ll stay by your side honest and true
Till the end of my time
I`ll be loving you...loving you
For the rest of my life
Thru days and night
I`ll thank Allah for open my eyes
Now and forever I…I`ll be there for you

I know it deep in my heart
I feel so blessed when I think of you
And I ask Allah to bless all we do
You`re my wife and my friend and my strength
And I pray we`re together in Jannah
Now I find myself so strong
Everything changed when you came along
OOOO
And theres a couple word I want to say
*Repeat Chorus
I know that deep in my heart now that you`re here
Infront of me I strongly feel love
And I have no doubt
And I`m singing loud that I`ll love you eternally

Repeat Chorus
I know that deep in my heart..

I wanted to bring umar for a simple 'tracking' experience for so long but not sure where and when. Alhamdulillah last weekend, we went to visit umar's pak long in Kuantan and off we go to the waterfall. (umar call it 'waterjun' = waterfall+air terjun..hihi)
Add Image
to reach the spot nearest to the waterfall we had to do some jungle tracking. Surprisingly Umar was so eager and enjoying the tracking so much. His cute mouth never stop asking me a lot of questions. I let him touch the trees, dried leaves or anything which is safe for him to let him explore as much as he could. We even came across a very big 'ulat gonggok' as big as my big toe.
Umar was so excited, he wanna touch it and of course I did not allow him.

Above was his photo with uncle haziq. I like the uniqueness of the photo, clear background with dark figures..heh

In the afternoon, we went to Teluk Chempedak and umar was busy playing with the sand while we observed him do what ever he wanted to with the sand. We only allowed him to play with dried sand coz I did not planned to change his cloth again after the tiring 'exploration' at the 'waterjun';)

My son's pet

  • 0

I never thought of keeping any pet at home until a friend gave me one. A siamese clean and adorable cat. She named him tommy.

100_4485

I was at first hesitate to care for the cat because I was pregnant. A pregnant lady may have toxoplasmosis which may affect my unborn baby (the brain especially) and because my eldest son just 2 years 10months old. For a young kid like umar, I'm afraid if he get asthma or rhinitis (hubby has this) due to allergic to the cat fur.

Interestingly, hubby seems very interested to have the cat. I never thought that hubby like to have a pet at home as he is a detail person which I assume having a cat may compromise the cleanliness of our home sweet home.
and he has allergic rhinitis too (but not too bad).

Day by day..I fall in love with Tommy. I rarely touch tommy (but had little one way conversation with him) initially but day after day I was attracted to let him sit in my lap and sometime 'cuddle' him..

Then I realized that Tommy actually brings benefit to us.

For myself, I realized that touching and caring for tommy brings more peace within me. I sometime feel safe when Tommy is around. e.g. one night a stray cat got into our house at 2.30am from one of the open window downstairs. Because Tommy was around the cat fight with him and dismissed from our house..Tommy usually doesn't like other cat to mess around our house, which is good cause no more cat feces on my lawn grass.

100_4529

Umar himself has shown his brotherhood to the cat. He called himself "abang umar' to the cat and really care for tommy as he is his younger brother. E.g. when he wanna sleep, he'll call tommy "come tommy to abang umar..we sleep together.." so cute:) This ease the transition to share ummi's and ayah's love with the baby soon and he starts to realize that it is fun to have a new playmate:) bravo umar!

today after about 3 months having tommy at home, umar has improved a lot.He cares more about the cat. first thing in the morning after seing me and hubby, he'll asked "where's tommy, umi?".

He'll run down stairs to feed tommy and when tommy show sign of thirst he'll put some water in tommy's container.I am proud of my son and glad that we have this cat.

for hubby, tommy make him less stress and more gentle..heheh..:) (he is a gentleman before now more gentle;) )

It is a wonder how a cat can change our life!! I've realized that I can used this to develop other aspect such as dicipline, responsibility in umar and as a medium to strentghen our parents child bonding ..alhamdulillah..

find a suitable pet for yourself..it is a new experience for us! Allah the Almighty who creates animals for human benefit!MasyaAllah..

career and family

Nowadays majority women working while parenting. It is also a growing trend for mothers to start working from home and it has been a good steps to improve the quality of the parents-child bonding.

I personally feels that working from home and be with your child 247 is a bonus and anyone with this previlage must be grateful.

I myself had decided to be in the working-mum line (for the time being;)), however I strongly believed that working mother may have the same quality and similar good outcome on their child if we know how to have a 'quality' time in each and every single day with our child even though we are working outside the house.

I have started my family at a very young age (according to the trend nowadays) at 22 years old and be a mother at 23 years old. At that time i was a 2nd year medical student who studying abroad far from my family.

Many people questioning my ability to cope with my study/career and family. I do not say that I successfully gone through this challenging pathway but after I complete my undergrad study I have realized some points that make me strong and help me to survive both my study and my family..Alhamdulillah..thanks to Allah!!

When I looked back, I realized some points that I would like to share which had help me and may help others to survive this difficult situation:

1) First and foremost:

always pray and depends on Allah on everything and always be grateful on what He has given us...we have more than others if we realized..have strong believe that what Allah decides for us is the best.

2) Set priorities:

it is impossible for your child and your career to both be in No 1 rank. Working mother must honestly make your own decision. This help you to realized and focus on what you are doing. Many people afraid to say that they put their child at no 1 rank as they think that they might fail their course..but it is a wrong perception. Instead it actually helps to avoid confusion in future. I personally think that parenthood make me a better person in life and my career. It tremendously help me to think and act differently and have a better perspective. Maybe some people think that I am slow in my career development but I personally think that this doesnt changed my career goals, only the timeframe to reach that goals. I strongly believe that putting my family first wont hurt my career in the long run.

2) time management

working mother must have strong determination to 'manage our time' and 'work for it!' It is undeniable that it is sometime troublesome but if we have proper time organization it will really help!

3) enough support from family / people around you

Our spouse play the most important role. He must be an understanding person of our situation and willing to offer help at anytime. It will be a bonus if parents or in laws and friends wish to help (alhamdulillah this is my case) because sometime you need extra hand if your work schedule need you to go outstation etc.

4) child care:

how to choose a suitable childcare?

Some people prefer childcare or maid. For me I prefer childcare. Childcare have two catogories 1) family based and 2) child center based...will be discuss in later topic.

Work and enjoy at the same time mothers!;)
